Te Rere Cove Estate
 

Overview

 

Te Rere is a boutique Waiheke Island winery with 1.5 hectares of Syrah, 1.0 hectare of Chardonnay and 1.0 hectare of Pinot Gris. The emphasis is on quality, not quantity with a maximum of 8000 bottles produced a year.

Our brief

 

To design a brand identity that spoke to the essence of the place and name. Simplicity, sophistication and strength under pinned the design process.

The label features a design created by local artist Paora-Toi-Te-Rangiuaia. The Kowhaiwhai of Te Rere reflects the flowing movement expressed in its name. The vine like pattern of Mangopare - the Hammerhead Shark, is a depiction of vitality and stamina, that symbolizes the interrelationship between both vines and community. The design was drawn roughly then recreated and enhanced on a computer.

The simplicity of the design is complimented with a number of print finishes including foiling metallic inks and embossing.
